A note about manual transmissions and wildfires.

Two things.

There a few very significant wildfires here in Colorado...or of which started and EXPLODED, burning over 800 acres within a couple hours, and is still going strong at over 10,000 acres. I can’t speak for the rest of Colorado, but Fort Collins is soaking in smoke today.

Smoke from the Cameron Peak fire a couple hours after starting.

Burnt pine needles & debris showed up in Wellington within hours of the Cameron Peak fire starting.

Smoke completely obscured the sun a few times from the air strip on Friday.

Send some good thoughts to the Red Feather Lakes area if you feel called to...last I checked the fire was less than 15 miles from there.

Lastly, I drove a 10 speed briefly on Friday. Everyone says floating gears is far easier than double clutching, which makes sense because it is one less step to an already complicated chain of events. HOWEVER, to somebody who has spend years driving a regular stick, it’s like clapping with one hand. Shifting and pushing in a clutch are NOT things that happen independently. *mind blown*

An actual picture of my brain figuring this out. 😭

Thanks for reading. Stay awesome, friends!
